By Aleshia Altizer Summer road trips have been a popular and economical family choice for decades. A recent article from CNN Money notes that 59% of Americans are planning a trip this year, up several points from 51% in 2010 (American Express Survey). Even though more Americans are ready for a vacation, they are still not planning to venture too far for from home.
